All of the Gene Kelly love that I was able to get away with including is my absolute favorite thing about this book. Maddie is so very me in that way–a huge lover of classic movies, living life like it’s one big musical number. I really wanted to support the young people who are just like that, while also introducing the classics to those who aren’t familiar in a fun and entertaining way. I hope I’ve accomplished that! And I hope I can maybe inspire someone to start their own “Teens for Classic Movies” club.
